1942
Along the winding banks of the Riviera del Brenta, between Padua and the majestic lagoon of Venice, a story of art and passion began to weave its narrative. It was when Narciso Rossi, enamored with the art of shoemaking, opened the doors to a modest artisanal workshop.
Within its walls, skilled hands guided by unwavering dedication crafted the first women's shoes branded Fratelli Rossi, producing merely one or two pairs per day. -
1947
Leveraging the self-made expertise in shoemaking acquired over the years, Narciso decided to expand shoe production and open a factory in Capriccio di Vigonza. He chose to call this new manufacturing workshop Rossimoda.
At the time, few could have imagined that in the years to come, their artistry would charm people around the globe. -
1956
Luigino and Diego, Narciso's sons, step into leadership roles within the company, pledging to uphold and enrich their family's distinguished heritage and father's profound legacy. Luigino will focus on expanding the business internationally, while Diego will oversee the factory operations and ensure the excellence of their products.

1960
At the beginning of the 1960s, Luigino Rossi began to wander the streets of Paris, remaining enchanted by the ateliers, in particular, the one of Charles Jourdan along the Champs Élysées, which at the time sold shoes signed by him and Christian Dior.
I am in front of Jourdan's window, and I see a pair of sandals with square, chromed heels 6 cm high. As usual, I photograph all the shoes to learn and get inspired.
One day, I decided to enter the shop, and Charles Jourdan himself asked me if I was Italian and whether I was a shoe manufacturer. He understood it from the way I picked up the shoes.
I answered him by showing off some French I learned during my evening classes. I introduced myself as a small craftsman of women's shoes from the Riviera del Brenta who was in love with his models and styles.

Shortly after, they met in Romans-sur-Isère, France, to visit Jourdan's factory and gauge the quality of the shoes produced by Rossimoda.

1963
No one imagined that soon after, Rossimoda would obtain the licenses to produce luxury shoes for the most famous Maisons in the international fashion scene: from Charles Jourdan to Christian Dior and Yves St Laurent (1963), from Givenchy (1973) and Emanuel Ungaro(1979) to Calvin Klein and Fendi (1991).
Rossimoda will also collaborate with other distinguished designers, including Vera Wang, Christian Lacroix, Céline, Roger Vivier, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Kenzo, and Porsche Design.

1975
In the years to come, Rossimoda will emerge as one of the most prestigious Italian names for the production of luxury shoes for women. Today, Rossimoda is recognized for transforming the Riviera del Brenta into one of the world's most renowned shoemaking districts.
